Galaxy Note 3 models confirmed. Malaysia to get both Exynos & Snapdragon 800 versions

Earlier it was rumoured that the upcoming 5.68″ Galaxy Note 3 will come in 2 different variants of different processors just like the current Galaxy S4. Now a source close to Sammobile has revealed more confirmed details of the models with list of country availability.

In terms of variants, there are 3 in total with the specs as follows:

Samsung Galaxy Note III 3G Version – SM-N900
Samsung Exynos 5420 Octa-Core processor
ARM Mali-T628 MP6 GPU

Samsung Galaxy Note III LTE Version – SM-N9005
Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 Quad-Core processor
Adreno 330 GPU

Samsung Galaxy Note III Duos – SM-N9002
Samsung Exynos 5420 Octa-Core processor
ARM Mali-T628 MP6 GPU

For Malaysia, we will be getting both 3G & LTE versions which is similar to the current Galaxy S4 availability here. With commercial LTE coverage being rolled out in Malaysia and Qualcomm’s better track record of power management, the LTE version for the Galaxy Note 3 would be a better pick between the two. All shall be revealed on 4th September and we expect Malaysian availability to follow closely right after. Hopefully they will launch both model simultaneously if it gets here.

Samsung Galaxy SII and S Advance now priced at RM1499 and RM1099 respectively

[Samsung Galaxy SII]

The Galaxy SII despite being an older model replaced by the new super thin and powerful Galaxy SIII, it is still a very capable phone sporting a 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus display and 1.2GHz dual-core processor (albeit running on TI OMAP4430 variety). And if you dont mind that it is an older model, you can now get it for only RM1499 outright. That is a RM200 price slash from RM1699 previously. And the best part is that the Galaxy SII can be updated to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)

[Samsung Galaxy S Advance]

Same goes to the Samsung Galaxy Advance which also got a RM200 price slash to an incredible pricing of just RM1099. This is a pricing of a budget phone and you still get a dual-core 1.0GHz processor, 4.0″ Super AMOLED display with generous serving of 768MB RAM.

If you need a smartphone urgently and you are tight in budget, these 2 smartphones are the answers. If you have all the money in the world, you should opt for the Samsung Galaxy SIII or sit and wait for the next iPhone or the rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (with a even larger screen).

Some of you might already know this but some might not. The big news here is that the pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Note was slashed to just RM1999 from the original price of RM2299. LG’s 5-inch Optimus Vu official

LG has made the Optimus Vu official, announcing the 5-inch phone on their Korean Newsroom site.  Running Gingerbread (Android 2.3) and packing a 5.0-inch display with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a specialized stylus, the size alone makes this one a force to reckon with. Sounds familiar? Yes, we think that the Optimus Vu is directly targeted at the Samsung Galaxy Note‘s market seeing that the market is growing with more and more people opting for the Note. And we think the Vu might have a chance to stand up to the Note though in the look wise, we think the Vu came second.

Samsung Electronics announced that they will be providing all the Galaxy devices with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) on the 1st quarter of 2012. Galaxy SII and Galaxy Note will get it first followed by the others.

The ICS-upgradable devices are the GALAXY S II, GALAXY S II LTE, GALAXY Note, GALAXY R, GALAXY Tab 10.1, GALAXY Tab 8.9, GALAXY Tab 7.7, and GALAXY Tab 7.0 Plus.
