According to a report from Fortune, which cited a “major Apple investor,” Apple is apparently preparing to launch the much-rumoured iPad mini with invitations expected to go out Oct. 10:
According to our source, who asked not be named, there appears to be some truth to the widespread rumors that Apple is preparing to launch a smaller and cheaper version of the iPad — often called the iPad mini or iPad air and usually described as having a 7.85-inch screen… What our source adds is the specificity of a date: The press, he says, can expect invitations to go out on Oct. 10.
Author of the post, Fortune’s Philip Elmer-DeWitt, is well connected with AAPL analysts and big traders, and the report noted the invitation rumor is coming from multiple reliable sources. If there is any truth to the rumor, it could line up nicely with an Oct. 17 unveiling and possibly an early November launch around Nov. 2.
The device is expected to sport a roughly 7.85-inch display, thinner bezel, and iPod-like thickness, but whether Apple will hit the sub $299 price point is up for debate. Just under Rm1000. Looks good for anyone looking for a budget tablet.

iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy Note 2?
With all the hype over the weekend about the new Samsung Galaxy SIII, people all around was asking about the availability of the Samsung’s new toy in Malaysia and other countries in South East Asia. We just cant wait to get our hands on the new Galaxy. Many people are very anticipated and waited for the new Samsung device as their phone upgrade. The European countries will be getting it on the 29th May 2012 followed by few other countries after.
Just recently, Lee Jui Sang, Samsung Electronics director of regional mobile business for Southeast Asia, Oceania, and Taiwan, said he’s confident that Samsung Galaxy S3 will make its way to Malaysia in early June. So we shall expect the Galaxy SIII to land on Malaysia on the first week of June 2012. That was faster than we expected because devices will usually take around at least a month to reach the Malaysian market. Seems like the popularity of Samsung devices in Malaysia is kinda good for Samsung to bring it over so soon after it’s launch.
For Singapore and Indonesia, the device is expected to be available on the month June also but no confirmation whether it will be early, mid or late June. But knowing it is June is good enough for us. One month wait is not that long although it might be very long for some hardcore fan.
So if you think that the wait for Galaxy SIII will be too long, well think again! =)

At the moment, most of the major hardware details of the device have been revealed. The Galaxy S III will very likely feature a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD screen with a resolution of 1184×720 pixels. Samsung has confirmed that the it will pack a 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos developed in-house by Samsung and its also very likely that the device will also come with 1GB RAM and an 8MP camera.
The specs are not really ground breaking but we are all curious on what Samsung is up to after the massive build of anticipation for the device. And we think that this device will be the most innovative and revolutionary device from Samsung so far. Or we just hope it will be. So never miss a bit of it by following the full broadcast of the event here.

The iPhone 4S is finally launched in China. Although it is so long after the launch of the iPhone 4S in the US, the China’s launch still get a tremendous response with hundreds of people turning up and queuing up before the launch at 5 Apple Stores hoping to be the first in China to get their hands on the latest Apple smartphone.
We do not expect this when the iPhone 4S is already out for sometime now but the Chinese is always a big fan of Apple products! And with the size of the population, hundreds is not a big percentage. =)
*and we hope that Siri will be available in Mandarin or other Chinese dialects soon!
