Celcom finally reveals it’s unconventional plan for iPhone 5, starting from RM98/Month [Updated]

ScreenShot

Celcom has revealed the plan for iPhone 5 to those who registered their interest on iPhone 5 with Celcom. So I who registered myself got an email from Celcom with the plan like above. Celcom is doing it the unconventional way without any tailored made iPhone plans like they do previously and like how Digi and Maxis still does. But instead, they offer iPhone 5 with a subsidized price when you sign 12 months and 24 months contract of the bundled Celcom First Plan + Mobile internet.

The plan is like the image above, please click on the image for a larger clearer look.

So basically, you can choose between 4 choices of plans which includes:

Celcom First Prime (RM40) + 1.05GB free data + Mobile internet 3GB (RM58) = RM98/month
Celcom First Prime (RM40) + 1.05GB free data + Mobile Internet 5GB (RM88) = RM128/month
Celcom First Premier (RM80) + 1.1GB free data + Mobile Internet 5GB (RM88) = RM168/month
Celcom First Elite (RM150) + 1.2GB free data + Mobile Internet 5GB (RM88) = RM238/month

These plans from Celcom does look good and feel different from those conventional iPhone plans. The bundled talk time, SMS and MMS varies depending on which Celcom First plan you take. And they offers monthly rebates also that also varies depending on your iPhone 5 model.

Digi iPhone 5 plans revealed, priced from RM2012

ScreenShot010

Shortly after Maxis revealed their iPhone 5 plans, Digi have also revealed theirs and similarly, its not much difference from the iPhone 4S plans when 4S is first introduced. Which is in a way good. With Digi iPhone plans, we have iDigi 88, iDigi 138 and iDigi 238 which requires monthly commitment of RM60, RM93 and RM161 respectively. The monthly commitment is cheaper than Maxis but for all the iDigi plans, the iPhone 5 price starts at RM2012. But overall, the total ownership cost will be slightly cheaper for Digi. We will have a comparison chart out soon after Celcom release their plans for iPhone 5.

This is how the iDigi plans look like.

iPad mini available in Switch outlets starting today, no sign on iPad mini on Apple Malaysia online store! UPDATE: applies to Machines, SenQ and Senheng

ScreenShot

Switch has just updated their Facebook status and announcing that they will be selling the iPad mini and iPad with Retina Display (not sure if it’s the 3rd or the 4th gen) today! Rejoice! If u are keen on getting an iPad mini, go to a switch outlet and get one for yourself. It also stated that the stocks are limited. I am not sure where did they get the stocks but apparently Apple Malaysia online store still does not have iPad mini available yet. But the problem is, there are no pricing for the iPad mini available anywhere. So I assume Switch is doing this to get people to go to the outlets and find it out themselves. Just hope it is not expensive. And I really hope the iPad with Retina Display is the 4th gen iPad! A6X baby!!

Here is how the Facebook status reads:

“Hello beautiful! iPad Mini and iPad with Retina Display, available in all Switch outlets. Stocks are limited for iPad Mini. Only Wi-Fi models available for iPad Mini and iPad with Retina Display. First come first serve basis :D”

Heading over to get one? Please do. Hope the stocks dont run out!

* Update: Apparently another Apple authorized reseller, Machines will also be selling iPad mini and iPad 4 starting tomorrow. Same goes to SenQ and Senheng. Have fun guys! Christmas is coming!
