A Japanese site Macotakara reported that a “reliable source” claims that Apple’s sixth-generation iPhone will be released in either September or October of this year.
Apple always have at least 1-year before announcing a new product of the same category each year except for last year with the iPhone 4S where it was announced only after 1 year and 3 months after iPhone 4. So a September or October release for the next iPhone is very possible.
But we cannot really predict the release date of the iPhone because Apple have once broken the rules with the iPhone 4S release.
BGR reported last December that Apple was set to release a “completely redesigned” iPhone in the fall of 2012. Other sources, including iMore’s recent report that pegged the upcoming iPad 3 announcement, have also suggested an iPhone announcement during the same timeframe.
We are sure it will be a different device in terms of both design and internal hardwares including the software but we have no idea how will it look like. But we will be very happy to have something like the concept picture above.
