WP7 Mango Nokia Lumia 800 and 710

Nokia unveiled the Nokia Lumia 800 and 710. Nokia finally unveiled the phone running Windows Phone 7 Mango and it is expected to be a hit.

The Lumia 800 looks very much like the Nokia N9 unveiled earlier this month which does not fair very well. I personally think it is because of the Meego operating system. But fear not, Nokia has an answer to that, and it is the Lumia 800. Looks very sleek and sexy, much like the iPod nano click wheel generations. Despite the great sexy physical looks, it is packed with very strong internals too. Packed with a 3.7″ WVGA AMOLED with ClearBlack display and powered with a single core 1.4GHz MSM8255 processor. With 512MB RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a 1450mAh capacity battery. Over at the back, it has a 8MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics. The Lumia 800 weighs 142g and has a thickness of 12.1mm. It comes in a choice 3 colors – Black, Cyan and Magenta. Nokia claims that it is the first “real” Windows Phone. Lets see how it fairs.

Alongside the Lumia 800 is the unveiling of Lumia 710 which is a slightly scaled down device offering a 3.7″ WVGA TFT with ClearBlack display and runs on the latest Windows Phone 7 Mango OS. Internally it is also powered by the same 1.4GHz processor, 512MB of RAM but has a smaller 8GB of internal storage. At the back, it has a 5MP camera with LED flash assist which is capable of shooting 720p HD videos. The Lumia 710 is powered with a smaller 1300mAh capacity battery, has a thickness of 12.mm and weighs 125.5g. It also comes with either white or black front colors with multiple back color options of black, white, cyan, fuschia and yellow. It looks as stylish as the Lumia 800 but more to sporty instead of sexy.

These devices is priced at 420euro and 270euro respectively. Which is around RM1800 and RM1200 respectively. Would you get one? Is this Nokia’s answer to Apple?

  1. One other issue issue is video games are typically serious in nature with the most important focus on studying rather than leisure. Although, there is an entertainment feature to keep your young ones engaged, every game is normally designed to work with a specific set of skills or course, such as math or science. Thanks for your posting.
